The first meet up [Private/kerii]

The day was still at the mountain side as a small breeze made the leaves Russel that seemed to go on forever. Today was a perfect day to be alone and one with nature. Videns was taking a stroll around town to see if he could find any familiar faces. But not of people, of animals.

Videns then sat down at some bench that were put near the forest as a picnic area. Videns then took out some bread from his backpack and made crumbs out of some of it. Then with some lip movement Videns made a peculiar whistle escape his hips. At once a few birds flew yo the table and began pecks at the crumbs. Smiling Videns began to rub the birds gently as tge ate. One even jumped up on his finger as it liked getting rubbed.

Today really was a perfect day to sit back and chill with nature.

River walked throug the mountain sides of Mt. Mjolnir. She wore boots, tight leggings, and a green, tight t-shirt. On top of that, she wore her hooded cloak. She had her hood up at the moment. She glanced slightly at a guy who was feeding the birds. He was touching the birds but yet, they weren't flying away. Hmm, interesting. River had always wondered what people would think of a random hooded girl, walking through the mountains though...

As Videns began oeytibgvthe birds he thought he heard the sound of squelching from someone walking in the damp part of the forest, suggesting someone was there. These suspicions were confirmed when the birds flew away from Videns, something that rarely happened. That Definatley ment someone was close. Looking over his shoulder he noticed a figure with a hooded cloak on. Putting his hand on the table Videns forced himself up doing a handstand on the table before twisting himself around the standing at the other end of the bench from where he was sitting, now facing tge hooded figure. The figure looked familiar but Videns wasn't sure. "Who are you and why are you here?" Videns questioned the figure. Wether this person said they were friend or foe Videns would keep his guard up just in case, you could never be too careful.

River saw the guy come over to her. Well, more like "flip" over to her. He asked who she was and why was she here. Was he really going to be that much trouble? "Why does it concern you?" she asked, nonchalantly, in her quiet voice. She was just a young woman on the mountain side after all. Still though, that guy... River would wait for his reply. She was curious as to how this would play out.

The woman tgen asked why did it concern Videns what sge was doing. "Because, if you even so much as think of cutting down a tree or hunting an animal for fun I'm going to end you, got that? " videns said a little aggressively. He cared very much for the wildlife in tge forest and wished for it not to he destroyed. This woman did not seem like she would though. "[Colour=#0000FF]Sorry I didn't mean to snap, I just get very protective over the wildlife here. I trust you won't do anything to harm them, but if you do so help me god I will make you pay [/colour]" Videns said to the woman in a calm tone. "My name is Videns Akemi, and I'll be the one who will Hunt you down if you do anything shady, now how about you remove your hood and tell me your name?" videns asked more calmly

River was a little taken back that this guy thought that she would harm nature right now. She was just walking... And besdies, she wasn't even carrying a weapon on her at the moment. He apologized for snapping at her, he was just protective. He said that he was Videns Akemi. He said that he would "huby" her down if things gets shady. He said to take off her hood and tell him her name and so she did. She took off her hood to reveal her head without the shade of the cloak. She had lavender eyes with no pupils. Her hair was staight and a raven blackish blue. "I'm River." she said in her quiet voice.

The girl seemed to follow Videns instructions. Wow he was more intimidating then he thought. The girl removed her cloak so he could see her face. As sge did this sge said her name was river in a very quiet voice. Wow maybe he was too intimidating.

Vudens then seen her face as his dark jewel like Eyes looked into her lavender ones. "Oh sorry I hope I wasn't too scary, I mean I'm not that mean if a guy, birds even like me." Videns said walking away from the woman. "here I'll show you." videns said tgen making tge same whistle he did before making the birds appear on his finger. Then petting it he brought it over to River and said "Go on pet her, she won't mind" Videns said to River to see if she would.

Videns apologized if he was "too scary." River giggled. "I wasn't afraid of you." she said. Videns then did a whistle and a bird came on over. One landed on his finger. He said that she could pet the bird and that it wouldn't mind. River took her index finger and gently pet the bird with it. It's feathers were so soft. "How do you get the birds to do that?" she asked.

The girl River said she wasn't afraid of him. Well that was a lie and a half. But she did seem interested in how he managed to get the bird to him. She even began petting the little bird. "Well I actually grew up around areas like this with loaf's of wild life and vegetation. After a year or two I picked up a few tricks on how to call them and how to even talk with them. It's mainly body language and your feelings, most animals can sense that." Videns told River. "I like birds but I prefer big cats, they are more fun to play with." Videns said as he lifted his hand and the little bird flew away. "Noy sure if there are many here but I'd thought I'd explore and find out. You seem interested so you want to come with me?" Videns asked.

Videns said that it was mainly in the area that he grew up in that influenced his connection with birds. He said that he could call them and even communicate to him. Wow, that was pretty cool. He said that it was mainly just body language and feelings, which most animals could sense. However, he did prefer large cats over birds. He said that he wasn't sure if any where here, but he was going to explore to find out. He asked if she would like to come with him. "Sure." was all River said. She would begin to follow Videns whenever he started to walk.

"Great, let's go then." Videns said as he would head into the forest. As he walked he got a feeling he knew River from somewhere else. "Hey have we met? I feel like we have its just I have a bad memory at times. I'm guardian of storms if that rings a bell." He said. He was fairly certain he knew her but because she was wearing a cloak that threw him off. That and the fact he didn't remember faces too well, animals were more his thing. They were so cool and the diffeent t species were so cool. He wondered if they would meet any of his favourites as they walked along the forest near the mountain.

River would follow Videns. He then asked if they've met before. He said that he felt like he has, he just has bad memories at times. He then said that he was the storm guardian. River's eyes lit up. Wow... he's changed so much. You've changed so much since we were kids... I'm the rain guardian, remember?" River asked, hoping that he would remember. Well, to be fair, she was really quiet as a kid and didn't really draw much attention to herself. It's not like she didn't exclude herself like the cloud guardian, Hikaru, often did.

""Yeah you too. How long as it been 2 years? I still try to meet Allies, the mist guardian and Larissa the sky guardian when I can. Hikaru is more of a loner then me but I try to meet him too but I haven't seen him in about 3 years." Videns said to River. ""How haveyou been? Anything I teresting. I was just trav-" Videns was saying before he was stoped dead in his tracks. He heard something. ""Get down!" he whispered to river as he placed his hand on her shoulder and pushed her down so they were behind a bush.

Just in time too the thing Videns heard was just looking around. Videns seen it was a red kind of lion cub with fur lthat looked like fire. It reminded him of the one he met when he was 5. It was only a cub thoe so it wouldn't be too dangerous, the danger would be in its parents if they were around. Now that was a deadly animal. "kay, stay here im going to calm ot down, then when I give the single you can come out." Videns said in a hushed tone.

Videns would then move the bush they were behind so the animal would know that they were there. As he did the noise of the moving bush caught the beasts attention. Videns would then stand up and keep eye contact on the beast. Walking out slowly the beats cold eyes followed Videns. Then on his own he would knel down on both knees so he was at the same height, face to face to the beast. Soon the best would run at Videns and jump at him. The best then tackled Videns to the ground. Videns then lifted the beast off him and onto his legs, now back up in his kneeling position again. The beast seemed curious then sat infront of videns like a regular tame cat would. Videns then smiled amd began scratching the beasts ear. He closed his eyes at the pleasure as videns did so. Videns stopedthen the beast yanked and seemed like it wanted more. "It's kay now." Videns said to River. Now she could bet it too.

Beast:

River listened to Videns babble on, like he normally did when he was younger. He apparently had a bad sense of time though. It has been well over 2 years since they last saw each other. He suddenly told her to get down and pushed her down behind a bush. "What are you..." she began to say, when he interrupted her saying to stay there and he would calm it down. Calm what down? River brushed the dirt off of her clothes and peeked over the bush. She saw an incredibly cute fire lion. She saw Videns and the lion sort of wrestle or something a bit before the lion finally sat on its hind legs like a tamed cat. He said that it was okay now. River wouldn't even say anything to him. He's apparently forgotten a lot of things about her, where she came from, and basically everything about her culture. She just walked over to the tiger and started rubbing him. "Quel cath..." River said with a bright smile to the fire lion. "That's so typical of you, always trying to act like the hero." River said to Videns without looking at him, keeping her focus on the fire lion.

As Videns said it was ok for her to come out, she said it was typical of him to act the hero. "Really? I literally threatened to kill you five minutes ago and you think im the hero. Well it seems you haven't changed, still being a know it all." Videns said going over to the big cat and rubbing it behind the ears. The beast slightly favoured Videns more then River, since he was the one who managed to calm it down. Which reminded Videns. He then reached out into his back pack and got out a steak. The beast immeadiatley stoped it purring and eyes lightened up. Videns then threw up the steak and as he did the beast jumped up and caught it in mid air and began to eat it happily. It was done in less then a minute then began to purr again but this time more happily and began rubbing against videns. Then it stopped and began to walk out towards something. Maybe he wanted them to follow them. Videns then got up from his hunched position and then began to follow it. "Well looks like he wants us to follow him. Well kay as well noting better to do. Lets go" videns said tp River as he followed the beast.

River rolled her eyes at Viden's comment. "I said that you were trying to act like a hero. You weren't being one though." River said. She then saw Videns take out a piece of meat. He just happened to be carrying that around? Well, it made sense why the lion calmed down. The lion then started walking off in a direction. Videns suggested following it. River wouldn't say anything, but she would follow him.
