Theoretically speaking, each rank is double in terms of power compared to the previous rank. Such is the basics of skills. Using creativity, there are potentially an infinite number of skills available.

However, before using a skill the rank of your character, weapon, and ability (if applicable) must be equal to or greater than the rank of the skill you want to use.

The classes of a skill determine what its main purpose is.

Offensive skills are the main form of dealing damage.

Defensive skills are used to block a single instance of attack.

Supplementary skills aid in combat by either buffing a character, or debuffing an enemy.

Passive skills are permanent skills that permanently increase the skill of a character.

Keeping a good combination of the skills will be vital in having the upper hand in combat.

The type of skill determines its strengths and weaknesses. Some skills are meant to hit fast, but are not very powerful, while others are extremely powerful, but take time to charge.

Balanced type skills are your average skills that do not have any specific strengths or weaknesses

Power type skills have a charging time of one post and are primarily strong strikes. They are capable of dealing great amounts of damage.

Speed type skills are meant to hit quickly. They move faster than regular skills of their rank, although they do not do very much damage. They are also useful for catching an opponent off guard.

Ranged type skills are mainly used by archers and the like, but melee based fighters can throw their items, such as spears or swords. Ranged type skills are weaker, but can hit at a long distance.

Magic type skills are a special type of skill in which only mages are able to use. They generally have a casting time depending on the rank of the skill. However, they are extremely powerful and are incapable of missing. Thus, they are considered to be one of the most deadly types of skills. The casting time is dependent on the rank however:

    D: 1 post
    C: 2 posts
    B: 3 posts
    A: 4 posts

Cast Time: A cast time is the charge up time. Usually magic skills use cast time, in order to chant a spell. It is generally regarded as the more time it takes to cast, the stronger the spell is.

Cooldown: A cool down is the time it takes before using a skill again. Most skills follow the regular cool down chart:

    D: 2 posts
    C: 4 posts
    B: 6 posts
    A: 8 posts

Magic tends to require one more post of cooldown than normal due to its great power.
